Therapy, Psychiatry & Ongoing Support page

Therapeutic support to help your child feel safer, more connected, and better understood at home.

When it's not about a diagnosis

Sometimes you don’t need an assessment. Your child is struggling, they’re not feeling safe or settled, and what you want is steady, ongoing support to help them through it. That’s the work this part of our service does.

How our therapy works

Our therapy works through the relationships around your child, because that’s where children heal. We start with safety and connection, and the work builds from there, at your child’s pace rather than a fixed timeline. The focus is emotional regulation and repairing connection, so home feels safer and your child feels more understood.

What's available

Family therapy, to strengthen the relationships around your child. Individual therapy for your child.

Art therapy.

Therapeutic parenting support, to help you respond differently in the hard moments.

Emotional regulation and relationship repair.

Child psychiatry, for diagnostic clarity and medication management when it's needed.

How it works

Psychiatry built into the team

When a psychiatric question or medication comes into it, that input sits inside the same team. You’re not referred out and asked to start over with someone new, which keeps the care joined up and moving.

Who it's for

Children and families who want ongoing therapeutic support, whether or not you’ve had an assessment with us, and whether your child is working through anxiety, big emotions, difficulty at school, or the effects of a hard start. If you’re not sure it’s the right fit, get in touch and we’ll help you work it out.

How to start

Get in touch and our team will guide you through the intake process and recommend the right starting point for your child. [Confirm whether new families begin with a discovery appointment, and note that here so expectations are set.]

Where we work

Available in-clinic at Sunbury, Mildura, and Bendigo, and via telehealth across Australia.

Do we need a diagnosis or an assessment first?

No. This support is open to families whether or not they’ve been assessed, with us or anywhere else.

Psychiatric input is available within the same team when it’s needed, for diagnostic questions and medication management. [Confirm how psychiatry access is arranged and any referral requirement.]

Yes. We see families in clinic at our three sites and by telehealth across Australia.

[Confirm fees, Medicare rebate arrangements with a referral, and any NDIS pathways.]
