Cat Nicholas

Social Worker & Family Clinician

Catherine is a compassionate and dedicated Family Clinician with a deep commitment to supporting children, young people, and their families. With her warm, empathetic, and organised nature, she creates a safe and welcoming space for clients to navigate challenges, build stronger connections, and foster well-being.

Catherine brings a unique and holistic perspective to her practice, drawing from over two decades of experience in therapeutic movement. Her extensive background and training in integrative movement and somatic approaches like Neuro-Affective Touch and therapeutic aerial yoga inform her understanding of the powerful connection between mind and body. This integrated approach allows her to support clients not just through conversation, but also by helping them understand and regulate their nervous system, fostering a deeper sense of safety and connection.

At Relational Minds, Catherine provides neuro-affirming assessment, parent support, counselling, and mindfulness-based treatment. She is passionate about working collaboratively with families to develop treatment plans that honour their unique strengths and goals.

Catherine holds a Master of Social Work and has completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her wealth of experience, combined with her genuine care for others, makes her a valued member of the Relational Minds team.

Outside of the clinic, Catherine enjoys yoga, Pilates, gardening, and bush walking.
