Vyv Rodnight

Child, Adolescent & Family Therapist, Mental Health Nurse

Vyv is a seasoned Child, Adolescent, and Family Therapist and Mental Health Nurse, bringing over 25 years of experience to his work with young people and their families. His career has spanned community mental health, acute settings, university teaching, and clinical training—most notably as a lecturer in mental health at La Trobe University and a mentor to early-career clinicians in child and family therapy.

Vyv’s therapeutic approach is grounded in relationships, development, and deep respect for each family’s unique story. He works collaboratively to support emotional growth and healing, drawing on attachment-informed, systemic, and trauma-aware models.

Alongside his clinical work, Vyv is a passionate advocate for reflective practice and lifelong learning. He values creating safe, supportive spaces for both clients and colleagues to feel heard and empowered.

Outside of work, Vyv stays true to the things he’s loved since childhood: music, films, football (always football), and a well-timed joke. He’s also a devoted dog enthusiast and can often be found enjoying a walk with his four-legged companions or debating the finer points of the Premier League.
